§ 1. About these terms
These terms are between Unify School Softwares ("Unify", "we", "us") and the school or institution that uses our platform ("the School", "you"). They also apply to anyone who uses our website.
By using the Unify platform or website, you agree to these terms. If you are signing up for a school, you confirm you are authorised to do so on its behalf.
§ 2. The service
Unify provides a school management platform that includes a web ERP and mobile apps for teachers, parents and students. The modules and plans available are described on our website and in your order.
Custom development, such as a dedicated ERP or custom mobile app built for one institution, is covered by a separate written agreement. If that agreement and these terms conflict, the written agreement wins.
§ 3. Accounts and users
- The School appoints an administrator and is responsible for the users it creates, including teachers, staff, students and parents.
- The School is responsible for keeping sign-in details secure and for all activity under its accounts.
- The School is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information it enters.
- The School confirms that it has the legal right to enter and use students', parents' and staff members' information in the platform, including any permissions or consents it needs from parents and guardians.
§ 4. Fees and payment
- The subscription fee is the amount shown on our pricing page or in your order, billed per year.
- Applicable taxes are charged in addition where they apply.
- Fees are due annually in advance before the subscription period begins. Renewals are billed annually upon invoice notice and require manual confirmation or settlement.
- If a payment is overdue, we may suspend access after giving reasonable prior notice.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable once the subscription period has commenced, as infrastructure and dedicated operational resources are provisioned upon onboarding.
§ 5. Your data
Full School Data Ownership
The School owns the information it puts into the platform. We do not claim ownership of student, staff, fee, or academic data.
- The School gives us permission to process that information only to provide, support and secure the service.
- How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. For school data, the School decides what is collected and why, and Unify processes it on the School's instructions.
- On request, we will help the School export its data. After the subscription ends, data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
§ 6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the platform for anything unlawful or to harm others;
- try to break, probe, reverse engineer or bypass the platform's security;
- copy, resell, sublicense or share access credentials with people outside your institution;
- upload harmful, malicious, or abusive content;
- use students' or parents' information for any purpose unrelated to running the school.
§ 7. Our intellectual property
The platform, software, design, code and branding belong to Unify School Softwares. While your subscription is active, you have a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for your institution's own internal operations.
For custom software development, intellectual property ownership is set out in the separate written agreement.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the product without obligation or compensation to you.
§ 8. Support and availability
We provide support through WhatsApp (+91 70933 75246), phone (+91 70933 75246), and email (info@unifyschool.com) during school operating hours (Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM IST). We work to keep the platform reliable, fast, and stable during morning peak hours and will try to give notice before planned maintenance.
We do not guarantee that the service will be entirely uninterrupted or error-free. Specific uptime commitments apply only if they are written into a formal institutional agreement signed by both sides.
§ 9. Please review what the system produces
Report cards, fee calculations, receipts, attendance registers, and notifications are generated from the information and grading settings the School has entered. The School must review them before issuing or sending them to parents or education authorities.
§ 10. Confidentiality
Each side will keep the other's non-public business information confidential and use it only for the purposes of this relationship, except where the law requires disclosure.
§ 11. Term and ending the agreement
- The subscription runs for the annual period you have contracted and paid for.
- Either side can choose not to renew at the end of the period with at least 30 days written notice before the period ends.
- We may suspend or end access if the School materially breaches these terms or fails to pay after written notice.
- When the agreement ends, access stops. The School can export its data during the 30-day export window stated in the Privacy Policy.
§ 12. Disclaimers and limits on liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law:
- The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
- Unify is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, business interruption, or reputation.
- Unify's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service is limited to the fees the School paid to Unify in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by Indian law.
§ 13. Responsibility for misuse
The School is responsible for claims that arise because it entered information it had no right to use, or because its authorised users violated these terms.
§ 14. Changes
We may update these terms. For important changes we will give schools reasonable notice (at least 30 days) before they take effect. Continuing to use the platform after the change means you accept the updated terms.
§ 15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to resolve any disagreement informally and cordially through discussion. If that does not work, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
